Duke of Edinburgh views the following demonstrations of
modern law enforcement equipment and techniques:
- members
of the Emergency Response Team demonstrate their repelling
and explosive entry techniques, as well as non-lethal
disarming weapons;
- a
member of the Vancouver Police Department demonstrates
the PRIME laptop system used for quick access to police
information, reports and photos of criminals; and
- Vancouver
Police K-9 team demonstrates police dogs ability
to detect narcotics.
The

to the main lobby.

Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh arrive at Vancouver International
Airport, where they are met by:
- the
Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, Her Honour the
Honourable Iona V. Campagnolo, P.C., C.M., O.B.C.; and
- the
Premier of British Columbia, the Honourable Gordon Campbell,
M.L.A., and Mrs. Nancy Campbell.
Flowers
are presented to Her Majesty by Nicole Preissl (age 8) and
Kyle Dosanjh (age 8).
The
Queen, accompanied by the Lieutenant Governor, and The Duke
of Edinburgh, accompanied by the Premier and Mrs. Campbell,
proceed to the aircraft.
The
following say goodbye:
- the
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vancouver International
Airport Authority, Mr. Graham Clarke;
- the
British Columbia Visit Coordinator, Mr. Marc-André
Ouellette;
- the
Mayor of Richmond, His Worship Malcolm Brodie, and Mrs.
Christine Brodie;
- the
Member of the House of Commons for Richmond, Mr. Joe Peschisolido,
and spouse; and
- the
Member of the Legislative Assembly for Richmond and Minister
of State for Intergovernmental Relations of British Columbia,
the Honourable Greg Halsey-Brandt, and Mrs. Evelina Halsey-Brandt.
At
the foot of the aircraft ramp, the following say goodbye:
- the
Minister-in-Attendance and Mrs. Dhaliwal;

Premier and Mrs. Campbell; and
